Lydia Skyhaven, the name given to a child found in the smoldering remains of their clan. Raised by the very merchants that found her Lydia grew up watching the fields of battle as a member of Valtorsh Trading Company; a supplier of the front lines.Yet those whom walk close to the blade's edge will be cut in the end; finding loss again in the fall of Dalamud where her life changed again and set her upon the path she now walks.
"Then a scar I would gladly take."
While a selfless healer and a person who values the lives she strides to save, Lydia is not a pacifist. Jumping into the fray be it book or ax in hand, both used as a deterrent for ally and foe alike.
Known for her dogged pursuit to keep her charges safe, the Roegadyn does not aim for the win in battle; but to secure the protection of those in her care to a frightening degree. Broken bones? Bleeding out? Long as she still stands, still breathes, you are not safe.
"I'll sleep when Nald'Thal drag me to be weighed and judged."
Though what is a hero without the constant stubbornness to forget everything but the task at hand? Sleep deprived and in a constant need of a nap, Lydia is prone to simply fall over when not engaged in a task (and sometimes even when she is.)Her days on the field of battle are not over, but she has seen little calling of late to wander through fire and smoke. Passing her time through her work of running an Apothecary and keeping a wild band of pirates from joining in Hydaelyn’s song (despite their best efforts and refusals of care.)
"For one so set on being a hermit, you seem to have quite the collection of friends."
Lydia is the care taker of many, though several find themselves tightly linked to her for many reasons; ask and she may tell.
An Ex-Garlean soldier, Agri found herself dragged (quite literally) into Lydia's life as the Roegadyn stole her and her fellow ward away from an active battle. Agri still very much believes in Garlemald, but her time in the medic's care has washed much of the propaganda she'd been raised upon from her ideals.Having adopted the name of a deceased friend for ease of use in the enemy land she finds herself trapped in, Talon is as stubborn as the medic who cares for her.
A Viera who knows about her past as much as a passing stranger. The second of Lydia's wards, Mydria is a person who tends to like to avoid conflict, often putting her at odds with her fellow ward. Thought she also tends to be the savior of the household by preparing meals, inistant that Lydia's 'jerky' is not, in fact, something that should be considered food.A Subject to experimentation while under Garlean capture, Mydria is working hard to reacclimate herself to normal life while fighting a phantom in the spinal augementation she finds herself with.
Hailing from Sharlayan, Trachwaeb spent much of his youth traveling the star with his parents. It is from this that he met a young Lydia who quickly found common ground for their shared love of the flora of the star. Trachwaeb doesn't see much of his old friend these days, but the two tend to cross paths when one is in need of the other.
Spell Thief and local tease, Crashing Glacier met Lydia when the Roegadyn stumbled into her master's clinic. A more flamboyant friend, Crashing looks to make a stylish display to any audience she encounters (even the yellow jackets wanting to put her in the brig). Meaning that she's often an regular for Lydia to patch up.
The caretaker of Lydia after the fall of the Red Moon, Dalamud, had seen all of her adopted family killed. A rather sour adventurer and unwilling Postmaster, Mel'noria keeps her relationship with Lydia as one would keep a business partner; at arm's length and engaging only when it benefits her.Her current location is unknown after delivering a rather ominous letter during All Saints Week.
